How To Change Wireless Password on Mikrotik Router?
If you do not have Winbox, I recommend you grab it. Personally, I don’t like the web management interface (webfig), and Winbox can help you find the IP address of the router if you do not know what it is. You can download Winbox from Mikrotik.com towards the bottom of the page under, ‘Useful tools and utilities’. Winbox works natively on Windows, it works fine on Linux with Wine, and there are options for Mac as well.
Once the Winbox app is open, click on Neighbors, then select the IP, then Connect.
Default router information for a Mikrotik are as follow:
Step 2: Change or create new passwords
Passwords for wireless interfaces on Mikrotiks are stored under Wireless > Security Profiles. By default, all wireless interfaces will share the same security key /preshared key / password. Just double-click on the security profile name you want to edit, enter the new password, then press ‘Ok’.
