If the computer slows down after updating Windows

In addition to adding new services to Windows, Microsoft also releases regular updates to enhance security. Many people complain that installing Windows 10 updates slows down the computer. This is usually due to a faulty system file or an app running in the background. However, this problem can be solved by using the following methods.

If the computer slows down after installing the new update, it is better to uninstall it. Various Windows updates can be easily uninstalled using Microsoft's built-in rollback method. To do this, press Windows and I together, turn on the settings option, and click on the Update & Security menu. Now select the Windows Update option and click on Uninstall updates from the View update history link to see the list of all the updates installed on the computer. Unnecessary updates on the list will be uninstalled as soon as you right-click on them.

Repair damaged files

Important Windows files may be damaged during the installation of the update due to slow internet or various network issues. Damaged files can be repaired using the Windows default system file checker. To do this, type a command prompt in the Start menu and you will see a command prompt on the right side of the search results. Clicking on the Run as administrator option will open a command prompt window. Then type sfc / scannow and press enter to scan the computer system files. If the damaged files are found, they will be repaired automatically. When the scan is complete, the computer needs to be restarted.

Pre-installed app image: screenshot

The Windows 10 operating system includes a number of pre-installed apps, including Microsoft's Virtual Assistant Cortana and Skype, which run automatically even when you're not using them. As a result, the speed of the computer decreases. To turn off unneeded apps, you need to launch Windows and I by pressing settings apps together. Now you have to select Background Apps by clicking on the Privacy link from the list of apps. You need to restart the computer after clicking on the toggle menu next to the unnecessary app.
